"Đế Đô Khảo Cổ Ký" (Chronicles of the Imperial Archeology) is a Blindbox Art Toy project inspired by the four symbolic treasures of the Hue Citadel. These pieces represent the four pillars of excellence: Faith (The Great Bell), Strength (The Sacred Cannon), Knowledge (The Cao Dinh Urn), and Power (The Nguyen Dynasty Throne). The project offers two unique interactive experiences: a Standard Edition designed for gifting and an Archeology Edition that invites players to personally "excavate" their treasures from a plaster layer, mimicking a real archaeological discovery.

SHOOTING CONCEPT

The Archaeological Set: Reconstructing Ruins To authentically capture the spirit of an excavation, I engineered a set design that emulates ancient ruins using crushed bricks, red clay, and raw stone blocks. This deliberate arrangement creates the impression that the Art Toys have just been unearthed, still carrying the profound whispers of history. Lighting & Cinematic Mood Collaborating with Lighting Assistant Vu Tran, I utilized high-contrast, harsh light sources to accentuate the rugged textures of the plaster layers against the intricate details of the treasures within. The visual mood leans towards mystery and drama, designed to ignite the curiosity of collectors. Visual Storytelling: The Art of Discovery Acting as both Art Director and Photographer, I executed a photo series focused on the tactile interaction between tools and plaster, allowing customers to vividly envision the "break the stone - find the treasure" experience. All images were post-processed with a moody, desaturated color grade and enhanced surface details to create a cinematic and high-end visual system, laying a solid foundation for the future expansion of the "Archaeological Chronicles" series.
