"Khởi" is a Tet gift set inspired by traditional Vietnamese lucky symbols. Meaning "The Beginning," it symbolizes a gateway to new hopes. Behind these gates are New Year wishes, envisioning a year where every blessing begins with perfection.

THE CONCEPT

1. The Insight The Insight: Traditional Lunar New Year packaging is often discarded immediately after opening. This project introduces a sustainable packaging solution by integrating functionality directly into the design, extending the product's lifecycle and allowing it to become a meaningful part of the festive space. 2. Illustration & Moodboard Illustration & Moodboard: The visual system is built upon the rich textures of Vietnamese folklore and ancient tales. I have distilled eight symbolic icons to craft eight meaningful blessings: Duyên Khởi, Khang Khởi, Thọ Khởi, Khoa Khởi, Lộc Khởi, Nhi Khởi, Sinh Khởi, and Phúc Khởi. Each artwork serves as a distinct visual narrative, guiding the audience into a world of auspicious omens. 3. Smart Packaging Structure Smart Packaging Structure: The multi-functional gift box features eight compartments for Tet jams or nuts, along with a bottom drawer for a desk calendar and red envelopes. The structure is designed to be used directly as a display tray on the guest table, eliminating waste while preserving both aesthetic elegance and practical utility. 4. Merchandise - The Layered Experience Red Envelopes (Li Xi): Utilizing pop-up techniques, the artwork is divided into three separate segments. Upon opening, the layers rise to create a multi-dimensional space, offering an element of surprise for the recipient. Desk Calendar: Designed with three interlocking transparent layers that can be disassembled to swap monthly cards. The graphical overlay of these components creates a unique visual effect with striking depth.
