This freelance project was developed for an RMIT student group to design illustrations and a promotional brochure for Scotch Super Glue. The core concept utilizes the Vietnamese folk tale The Hundred-Knot Bamboo Tree as a creative metaphor for the product’s superior bonding strength and instant adhesion.
I was responsible for creating a modern character system that remains deeply rooted in traditional folk aesthetics and attire. I designed the brochure layout as a visual narrative leading the audience through the "bamboo knots" firmly bonded by the glue, transforming a standard advertisement into an engaging and artistic experience. By merging a global brand with local heritage, the project effectively communicates product functionality while showcasing a fresh and creative perspective.
